| Looking for info on Felix Magee-BD around 1778. Sailed from Belfast in May 1819 to Quebec, Canada then on to Lewistown, New York. From there he settled in southeastern Ohio USA and lived there until he died, 8-18, 1873. He was married to Eve Hoff from Maryland, USA. He declared his intension for naturalization in America April 1822. Now....this is alot of info that I got from copies of his paperwork but, I do not know where he came from in Ireland and who his parents are. Any help would be so helpful. Many thanks! |

| Hey Jim-thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, what you see here on my post is all that I have. I got this info from the Common Pleas Court archives where he lived. It was indicated in his Intention to become a US citizen in 1823. I have connections in this court and they have looked for the actual naturalization papers that maybe would have indicated more info...but there are none to be found. I have found several Magees that came to the same area before Felix arrived that may be my clue. Maybe this is why he picked this area-family! One can only hope. Anyways, if you have any inkling please let me know---thank you! June |
